A Good Time to Join the Club?...Now!
If ever I would join you… it would be in autumn… Often in course of corresponding with prospective members, I am asked what’s the best time to join the Club. On so many levels that’s so subjective it defies an easy answer. Why do you want to join? What do you hope to accomplish, for everything there is a season. While it’s hard to say what the best time to join is because that’s so personal, I can certainly state that there’s a time when it’s clearly best value. And that time is coming now, it’s the 4th Quarter of every year. Through the 1st three quarters, the Club doesn’t prorate membership fees they are calendar year and renewal is due January 1st as specified in the By Laws. But according to our By Laws, the Club does roll those members who join in Q4 of every year, all the way through the next calendar year. So join in October and get 125% for your money. I’m not sure exactly what the origin is for the Q4 exception, whether it is the Club's, hunting legacy and wanting to attract those preparing for the fall season, or enticement to attract new members before the cold winter months set in, but no matter, the important thing is to encourage friends and family who’ve been on the fence to come down off the fence and join us! Our facilities are truly never more beautiful than they are in autumn. The Sudbury skeet, 5 stand and wobble skeet fields overlook a blaze of color, even now the maples begin to turn. Russet oaks crown the trap field and action range and rife ranges even as the bright green grass of softwall fields ripen to gold for winter’s slumber.

Come and embrace it all and bring new friends with you!

Solar Panel Updates
After months of twist and turns, our solar panel project is finally moving toward implementation!
Eversource approved interconnect to our phase 3 power in the clubhouse. This means our panels will be offset our biggest bill! Our solar power installer Revision has marked the field for the newly adjusted array. And Jim Coughlin has set up temporary fencing to save the placement of the stakes from accidental displacement by cars.
Dig safe is expected on site shortly and next week revisions vendor will come in to place the ground screws that will anchor the panels.

The future is bright for us here!

Save the Date: Annual Game Dinner 1/30/27
To the hunters in our club, It's that time of year again when we are heading into the woods, fields and waterways to enjoy the common bond that brings us all together. Whether it's fishing or hunting, I wish everyone the best of luck this year, and above most, I hope for your safe return with a cooler filled with fish or your truck bed filled with your wild harvest. With that being said, I would like to remind everyone that the next wild game supper is scheduled for Saturday, January 30, 2027 in the clubs function hall. If you should be successful this season it would be great if you could share a little bit of your harvest with the club for the game supper menu items. We will be accepting donations of Venison, Moose, Bear, Boar, Fish, Pheasant, Goose, Duck, etc, anything you can donate helps. This wild game supper can't go on without your support, and as a reminder, you don't have to be a hunter to enjoy the event. This is a find raiser for your club and everyone's invited to attend, including your families, your friends, your co-workers, etc. We will announce when tickets go on sale, which is usually around the first or second week in December. Any donations can be brought up to the club during open hours and the club steward can get access to the freezer in the lower kitchen. Or you can contact/text me at 508-371-5590 and I can make arrangements for you to drop off your donation.
Happy hunting, be safe and I hope to hear from you with a donation! Andy
