MRGC Volunteer Appreciation Day
It’s a simply gorgeous day at the Club. Autumn is our crowning glory!
And who burnishes the crown? Our indefatigable volunteers!
Dana Scesny has taken on the archery range. He’s trimmed the brush and is giving the archery butt some much needed TLC & Gifford Perry is paring back the season’s growth around the trap connex and getting it prepped for painting.
We cannot function without our volunteers, so Saturday, October 3 we celebrate them with our volunteer appreciation event!
We ask our members to consider coming on out and work together while knocking down your dues through chits. We have three big projects that can absorb lots of labor:
R&P Rifle and Pistol - outdoor range cleanup we want to move to pick up your brass policy but to do that we need to get the Rangers squeaky clean as a baseline.
We are also looking to install some turf under the benches in the rifle range and re-paint the rifle benches and do other general maintenance. Our rifle and pistol chair Owen Maron will take charge.
Pavilion - The building Committee wants help repainting the renovations on the pavilion. There’s a lot to do there. Mike Costello will lead that charge!
Trap & Skeet - Trap and skeet will focus on painting the trim on the shooters, done and performing other arrangements activities. Gifford and John Mackesy will lead that effort.
To celebrate our volunteers our House and Entertainment chairman Bob Duffy will arrange for a meal that’s an upgrade from the traditional work party dogs and burgers!
